Strategically placed slots in the webbing of Ecosun Collectors prevent moisture buildup under the collector to preserve the life of your roof. These same slots allow pressure relief during high winds so you can expect your Ecosun System to still be working after the storm has passed. The collectors are generally mounted on the roof, but can be mounted on a ground rack. Using the pool pump, water is circulated through the hundreds of specially designed channels in the solar collectors. Pool water is comfortably heated in the high performance Ecosun Solar Collectors and returned to the pool through existing piping. The process begins with an automatic control that senses any change in sunlight or water temperature and relays this information to a control valve. The control valve then diverts or “channels” the pool water to the collectors, when sufficient energy is available, or bypasses them when heat is not needed.
