Pressurized System
The pressurized system is designed to be self-sufficient, turning itself on and off daily, collecting heat whenever it is available. The automatic controller alerts the pump when to run. The units' solar circulation pump distributes a special freeze-proof solution from the bottom of the heat exchange coil through the solar collector(s) where it absorbs the sun's solar heat then returns the heated solution to the coil. The copper heat exchange coil is tightly wrapped around the inner collection tank, transferring its heat to your household water. This cycle continues as long as the sun is available to provide heat. When there is no solar heat available, the controller turns the pump off. If your family ever needs more hot water than the sun can provide, or in long periods of inclement weather, the backup heating element automatically takes over. |

Drainback System
The drainback system employs a unique drainback reservoir with a built-in heat exchanger. As the heat transfer fluid is circulated through the solar collector loop, simultaneously, water is circulated from the hot water tank through the finned coil heat exchanger inside the reservoir. Freeze protection is reliable and depends only on gravity to function properly. The simple design of the drainback system means minimal maintenance and its reliable operation and high performance makes this an asset to any home.
